From the inception of the Equestrian Social Media Awards in 2010 we have seen the wealth of creative talent in the equestrian industry. From innovative marketing campaigns, beautiful design concepts, the use of digital and the mobile revolution - all having a positive impact on the horse industry globally.
Equestrian Digital Enterprises exists to showcase horse professionals who are thinking outside the box. The next addition to our stable will be the Equestrian Creative Network - another first for the global equestrian industry.
The Equestrian Social Media Awards (ESMAs) were set up to bring together the global equestrian community through social media. They were initially designed to allow fans and followers of UK and Irish businesses, brands and professionals to shout about who they felt really flew the flag for the equestrian industry.
During 10 days, on the run-up to Christmas Eve 2010, people were asked to nominate their favourites in 15 categories. So many nominations were received that each category was split into two groups; UK/Ireland and International. In 10 days just under 4000 nominations were received. The top 10 within each category got through to the finals.
The 181 finalists represented a range of equestrian sports, including racing, eventing, western, dressage, and show jumping.
Each finalist films an acceptance speech. An awards video, split into 5 episodes on YouTube is created for easy sharing during ESMA week to ensure everyone could attend the ceremony.
The ESMAs are now a global affair with finalists from each continent thanks to the regional categories!
